During 2008 ENLC employees worked on a variety of projects including fire monitoring, vegetation surveys and road mapping. The coalition was able to impact over 2,194,345 acres through restoration, treatment and data collection making this year another huge success.

In the end we we had crews that collected vegetative cover data on 1,019, 352 acres in Lincoln County in the Clover Creek North and South watersheds, Dry Lake Valley, and the Patterson portion of the Panaca watershed for watershed health assessments. They also collected vegetation cover data on 447,309 acres in the Steptoe Valley B and C watershed in White Pine County for the Steptoe Valley watershed health assessment.

Our road monitoring crew worked hard and was able to inventory 1436 miles of road and trail in partnership with the BLM.

Our fire monitoring crews were able to collect data on 725,502 acres that burned during the past three years (associated with 57 wildfires). This continues to be a succesful project in which the data pool continues its growth.

Back in the office ENLC worked alongside Tri-County to put on a educational weed meeting, which was a great success, and in June we put on our 9th Annual ENLC Meeting and field tour. Throughout the year we were also able to publish 4 newsletters.

Much like years past, this year ended with successful results. We continue to look towards the future and believe that Eastern Nevada Landscape Coalition along with our partnerships in restoration will pay off as years pass.

And as always a big thanks to all those who donate and support ENLC year after year. We all look forward to 2009!
