Weed of the week: Dyer’s woad

  • Flowers: tiny, yellow, four petals with hanging seed pods which dry to black
  • Leaves: thick , up to 2‘ long, obvious white mid-vein
  • Stems: up to 9’ tall
  • Reproduction: seeds
  • Problems: invades rangeland, degrades wildlife habitat
