Weed of the week: Dalmatian Toadflax

  • Flowers: yellow, like a snapdragon
  • Leaves: waxy, heart-shaped, clasping the stem
  • Stems: up to 4 feet tall
  • Reproduction: creeping roots, seeds (up to 500,000/plant/year)
  • Problems: invades and dominates roadsides, gardens, and range (especially after wildfires)
