John Haddock

Natural Resource Specialist

John joined Eastern Nevada Landscape Coalition in March 2024 as a Natural Resource Specialist with an emphasis in aquatics and riparian area restoration.

John grew up between Nevada and Utah and has a bachelor’s degree in Natural Resources-Fisheries Conservation from Oregon State University. One of his favorite past-times is fly fishing, which led him to environmental work.

After a couple environmental internships with Barrick Gold and his time working as a Biological Field Technician with Tetra Tech, John spent two years working as an Environmental Specialist with Nevada Gold Mines. In this former position, John’s work included project management, air permit compliance, water rights management, water pollution control, habitat restoration, and sensitive species monitoring.  Through both professional and volunteer experiences, John has worked with Lahontan cutthroat trout, sage grouse, migratory birds, and a variety of dace species. His current position as Natural Resource Specialist will allow him to continue working with Lahontan cutthroat trout and other species found in the O’Neil and Humboldt Basins.

He is excited to apply his experience and skills in furthering the conservation and restoration of the unique landscapes within the Great Basin with the Eastern Nevada Landscape Coalition.
