Cooperative Weed Management Areas

Nevada is home to seven Cooperative Weed Management Areas, or CWMAs: Newark/Long Valley, Upper Meadow Valley, Railroad Valley, White River Valley, Steptoe Valley, Snake Valley, Pahranagat Valley, and Southern Nevada.

A CWMA brings landowners, agencies, and ENLC together to manage noxious weeds across a shared landscape. As ENLC puts it, "our model is collaborative, not adversarial." We maintain partnerships at the federal, state, and county levels, working alongside land management agencies, ranchers, and private landowners. #9

Want to get involved with your local CWMA? Contact us and we will connect you with the right group.

Cost-Share Program

In the past, ENLC's Cost-Share program has helped members bring in Tri-County Weeds to treat noxious weeds on their property at no cost, or helped supply the materials to do it themselves.

The program paused last year due to lack of funding. ENLC is working to bring it back for members. #10

Once funding is confirmed, members will be able to sign up for Cost-Share on this page.
